20>>21 Music is a project that develops programs that explore the multicultural experience of today’s music. Each concert facilitates dialogue between audience, performer, and composer by presenting contemporary composers’ works and their influences.

20>>21 Music collaborates with today’s emerging composers to curate programs ensuring new music becomes accessible to all audiences. Repertoire for each concert is carefully selected to reflect the composer’s music alongside related works. Each piece reflects the composer’s influences and draws connections between music of the 20th and 21st centuries.

In each performance of 20>>21 Music project, the performers and the concert’s featured composer explain the personal and musical significance of the pieces chosen. The project embraces a relaxed concert atmosphere, inviting audience members to learn and interact. Following each concert, audience members are invited to meet the musicians and featured composer, to ask questions, and share feedback.

20>>21 Project presented programs of solo and chamber music in various stages around NYC including: Symphony Space, The Gershwin Hotel, Spectrum, and various private venues. Previous featured composers included Michael Vincent Waller, Reinaldo Moya and scenes from his new opera Generalissimo, Angélica Negron, Gilad Cohen, Clint Needham, and Alexandra Vrebalov. Other performances presented “themed programs” such as Folk Music in the 20th and 21st Centuries, and The Suite: from Bach to the 21t Century.[/fusion_content_box][/fusion_content_boxes]
